Description:
UVic-UCC is a young and very dynamic university in Central Catalonia, with a special commitment to quality teaching, innovative research and internationalisation. The OTRI is the technical office that supports doctoral programmes and manages the research activity, knowledge transfer and scientific dissemination actions of the University of Vic - Universitat Central de Catalunya. The BETA Technology Centre is formed by a young multidisciplinary team of 60 researchers, and is looking for a dynamic person who is eager to be part of this project. We are looking for a European competitive project manager to join the centre's management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management, control and economic-financial monitoring of European competitive projects in execution until the final justification and economic closure of the project, supporting the researcher to ensure the correct implementation of the projects within the deadlines and formats required by each funding body. Among the projects to be managed there will be coordinated projects, where the candidate will act as Financial Manager, acting as liaison between the different members of the consortium and the funding agency in terms of administrative, legal and financial tasks. He/she will also support the researcher and the Business Developer of the Centre in the preparation of new proposals and in their submission.

Functions and duties:
- Control and monitoring of coordinated competitive projects (mainly H2020 Programme and Horizon Europe). Communication with the funding agency, communication with the partners, preparation of the Grant Agreement and Consortium Agreement, preparation and payment procedure of the partners, management of the consortium amendments, etc.
-Planning and monitoring of budget execution and management of competitive projects, management of R&D grant budgets, technical support in project planning, feasibility analysis and redefinition of the budget if necessary, support in preparation of amendments, adjustments and response to requirements. Support in preparation of financial reports and internal audits.
-Control of time and dedication of the Centre’s staff (timesheets).
-Scheduling and monitoring of the delivery of scientific-technical and economic justifications, as well as audits.
-Ensuring compliance with institutional policies and funders' regulations and policies.
-Registration and continuous updating of projects in internal and external project management tools. The candidate will carry out these functions in coordination with the Technical Office of Research and Knowledge Transfer (OTRI).

University degree in the field
environmental sciences, chemical engineering, biology, chemistry or other scientific related fields.

PhD Degree - Experience in coordinating consortiums for European projects. - C1 level of English - Knowledge of Catalan and Spanish funding programmes. - Complementary training in research management and knowledge transfer.
